It's very important for me# to represent my culture because some people don't know of my country, my culture, they just# know maybe of, oh Shaka Zulu or Nelson Mandela or Trevor Noah, you know people who are from my# country, but me being physically here, I'm able to even, you know, express how we, we sing, you know, how we , what we eat, the closest somebody will be to Africa or to Soweto or# to South Africa, it will be through me.
I've been in Arizona for five years right now.
People# are moving from other states and other places to Arizona and now you can go somewhere and hear,# oh there's a Spanish Latino festival here, oh there's a African Festival, there's a Caribbean# Festival over here, so I feel like like slowly but surely in the past few years I've been# here, it's it's coming together where every culture is starting to have space.
I think I# fell in love with music for the first time um at maybe in the age of four, five, uh listening# to my father's records and uh music was just something that surrounded me.
It just felt like# magic to me.
I couldn't avoid it because I got this warm fuzzy feeling all the time when it comes# to music, you know.
I just feel like um I was called to, to reach people you know beyond myself, and# through my music I can say my story, tell my story, and somebody relates to the story and they# see that I'm not the only one that went through this, you know?
I feel and believe that God# didn't give me this gift just for me to hoard it, but to just make sure that I share with the whole# world, you know, to to help people you know.
[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hallelujah Hallelujah [Music] You set me free and you deliver me [Music] [Music] Hallelujah [Music] [Music] Mmm, yeah, yeah, yeah Love, oh love That is what we need, more love sitting here by myself wondering what do I really nee It may not be money or material hings that everyone needs out there Tryin' to get it.
I may have the world in the palm of my hands bu if I don't have love, there's no use for it just wasting my time somebody we need love Love, oh love.
More than anything that is what we need oh yeah yea oh yes, we need more live [Music] love isn't love until you give it away putting# yourself out there without knowing if you'll get it back or you'll get hurt but same ones you# give it, don't let nobody dictate how you love oh yes Love is not promised to us You may never see your loved one again to say I love you Oh love, oh that's what we need.
We need more love More than ordinary.
That's what we need, oh yeah.
We need more love.
That is what we need.
